The Tri-State Natural Resources Technology Team was developed to be an interdisciplinary team that would perform conservation activities including technology transfer, training and farm bill coordination in the Palouse region of eastern Washington, northeastern Oregon and northern Idaho. This is a technical team that consisted of an Agronomist, Tony Ingersoll, and a Resource Conservationist, Dennis Roe. These individuals have expertise in range, watershed activities, plant materials, conservation planning procedures, research, and Farm Bill activities. Recently Tony Ingersoll has relocated to the Pac Basin team.

Dennis and Tony are supported by a Regional Advisory Committee consisting of representatives from conservation districts, the agricultural industry, members of the research and academic community, and agronomists and state conservationists from the three states.

The Tri-State team office is centrally located in the Palouse region, on the WSU campus in Pullman, Washington. The team members are committed to improving coordination across states lines, to sharing technical expertise and to providing empowerment to implement conservation activities at the local level. They assist field offices with training, providing information on alternative crops, conduct research on alternative crops (see the Northwest Crops Project) and provide assistance and information to the field offices.
